नामीबिया या देशात प्रचंड दुष्काळ पडला आहे. पाण्याची आणि अन्नधान्याची तीव्र टंचाई आहे. इतकी टंचाई आहे की अन्नासाठी तेथील सरकारने काही हत्तींना मारण्याचे ठरवले आहे. पण मग ‘हे विश्वची माझे घर’ आणि ‘वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम’ या विचारांवरती आपण काम करणार आहोत का नाही? इकडचे पाणी तिकडे जाईल का? माहित नाही. भारतातून नमिबियाला धान्य पाठवून त्या सर्वांची भूक भागेल का? माहित नाही. पण प्रयत्न करणे हे नक्कीच आपल्या हातात आहे. अंघोळीची गोळी संस्था तुम्हा सर्वांच्या मदतीने आपल्या नामीबियासाठी, तेथील बंधू-भगिनींसाठी आणि हत्तींसाठी थोडा खाऊ पाठवणार आहे. हे अशक्य वाटतंय पण आपल्या सर्वांच्या मदतीने हे शक्य आहे. चला, नामीबिया या देशात राहणाऱ्या आपल्याच माणसांना आणि आपल्याच हत्तींना वाचवूया.

Let’s save our elephants…
Namibia is currently experiencing a severe drought. There is an extreme shortage of both water and food. The situation is so dire that the government there has decided to kill some elephants for food. But, are we going to act according to the ideals of “The world is my home” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family)? Will water from here reach them? We don’t know. Will sending food from India solve their hunger problems? We don’t know. But what’s in our control is making an effort.

With your help, the organization “Angholichi Goli” is sending some food to Namibia for our brothers, sisters, and elephants there. It seems impossible, but with everyone’s help, it is possible. Let’s save the people and elephants of Namibia.
